Google is providing an online tool to help people search for news about friends or relatives in Christchurch, in the wake of the earthquake there earlier this morning. Person Finder can be consulted by anyone looking for information about specific individuals, and can be used by relief agencies and others who contribute status about individuals to the database. Agencies can also embed this tool on their own Web sites, giving their users access to the same database.
